The Trotwood-Madison Rams took down Ponitz on Wednesday for the second time in three days. Wednesday’s game brought much tougher conditions than Monday’s (which the Rams won 25-2). The first inning kicked off with the raining coming down and Ponitz jumping out to a big lead off of a couple Trotwood mistakes. Ponitz led 7-1 with 2 outs when the game was suspended for 30 minutes due to lightning in the area. The Rams used that time to regroup and scored another run in the 1st making it 7-2. Things fell into place in the third when the Rams took the lead for good behind an 11 run effort. Freshman Kalyn Williams came in to pitch in the top of the 4th and closed out the inning for the Rams leading to a win with the Rams not needing to bat in the bottom of the 4th. The game was called after 4 innings due to lack of light.
The Rams game Today vs. Northridge has been cancelled due to weather conditions. They will look to win their last home game this Friday against Yellow Springs (Senior Night)!
